Scholarships

You’ve completed your Application for Admission and the Student Financial Records Form and are ready to take the next step toward securing a scholarship. Pinchot University’s scholarship selection process awards applicants with strong leadership capacity, community engagement skills and desire to become a change agent for a better future.

Students complete one application and essay for consideration of the Capa Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship and the Pinchot Leadership Scholarship. Please click on the scholarship titles below for further details on requirements application process. Scholarship funds are provided by Pinchot University. In 2015-2016, Pinchot University has a total of $645,000 available to award in scholarships.

Scholarships Available

The Capa Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship

The Capa Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship recognizes leadership in the areas of diversity, social justice, equal opportunity, civil rights and non-discrimination. Eligible applicants are current or future change agents in some facet of diversity.

Scholarships are awarded to individuals who have demonstrated commitment to working within diverse communities. This scholarship defines diversity as anything pertaining to (but not necessarily limited to) race, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, nation of origin, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and/or physical ability.

Requirements: The Capa Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship is available to students in all Master’s programs at Pinchot University beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year. Scholarship recipients must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and a minimum of half-time enrollment while receiving this award.

Award Amount: $1,000 maximum, disbursed per credit over the duration of your program. Scholarships are applied to tuition and fees only.

Before you apply:

B Corp Scholarship

The B Corp scholarship is available to newly admitted students who are employees of B Corp certified companies. The student will receive a 15% tuition scholarship toward an MBA program at Pinchot University. The scholarship does not apply to any room-and-board costs or any non-tuition related expenses. Students must be enrolled full time. Applicants applying for this scholarship must provide proof of employment with his/her admission application.

The Pinchot Leadership Scholarship

The Pinchot Leadership Scholarship recognizes leadership, creativity and community engagement. Eligible applicants are future or current leaders within their community or business organization.

Scholarships are awarded to individuals demonstrating a commitment to Pinchot University’s values: transformational leadership, integrity, community, social justice, innovation and sustainability.

Requirements: The Pinchot Leadership Scholarship is available to students in all Master’s programs at Pinchot University beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year.  Scholarship recipients must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and a minimum of half-time enrollment while receiving this award.

Before you apply:

Pinchot University offers National Service Scholarship to qualified AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alumni in recognition of academic potential, involvement in community and leadership. Students must be admitted to one of Pinchot’s MBA program and must be attending full time. Pinchot University will match up to $5000 of a student’s AmeriCorps award over the duration of his/her MBA program.

George W. Cawman Scholarship

The George W. Cawman Scholarship is designed to assist individuals who demonstrate economic need while in graduate school and who want a life changing experience through new career opportunities that reflect Pinchot University core values: transformational leadership, integrity, community, social justice, innovation, and sustainability.

Requirements: The George W. Cawman Scholarship is open first year students applying to Pinchot University for the 2015-2016 school year. Scholarship recipients must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and a minimum of half-time enrollment while receiving this award.

Because this scholarship is funded by the Cawman Family in honor of George W. Cawman, upon accepting the award, scholarship recipients are asked to write a 250-500 word statement to the Cawman family emphasizing how the award will contribute toward their academic, professional, and personal success. To apply students must complete a FAFSA application .

Award Amount: $3,000 maximum, disbursed per credit over the duration of your program. Scholarships are applied to tuition and fees only.

  • Scholarship applicants must have a complete Pinchot University Application for Admission submitted by the Scholarship Deadline.

Applicants must also complete the Student Financial Records Form to be considered

Americorps Sustainability Service Scholarship

Pinchot University is happy to award  newly enrolled Americorps Alumni up to $5,000 in recognition of commitment to Sustainability and Service. Applicants applying for this scholarship must provide proof of service with his/her MBA admission application. The total amount will be awarded over the two years of the applicant’s MBA program. Applicants must maintain a full time status over the course of the MBA program to receive this award.

We are currently accepting applications for all programs. Pinchot reviews applications on a rolling basis and space is limited. Secure your seat in classes beginning in 2015 by submitting your application as soon as possible.

Notification and Acceptance

Pinchot will notify students of scholarship awards by February 13, 2015 for Priority Applications and on May 15, 2015 for Regular Applications. We ask that students notify us as soon as a decision has been made if they are accepting their offer of admissions and scholarship award. We do ask that Priority Applicants notify us no later than May 15, 2015 and that Regular Applicants notify us by July 15, 2015. Scholarship recipients should respond no later than their appropriate deadline to accept their scholarship. If recipients do not accept their scholarship, the funds are redistributed to other applicants.

Other Opportunities

INSTITUTIONAL GRANT

Institutional grants are financial awards that do not have to be repaid. They are based on need, meaning that whether or not a student qualifies will be determined by their Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) determined by the FAFSA. To request more information about an institutional grant, contact our Student Financial Services office.

EXTERNAL FINANCING OPTIONS

Pinchot may work with external sources of aid including but not limited to: private scholarships, Americorps assistance, outside loans, employee tuition assistance, etc. Please contact Student Financial Services with questions if you may have an external funding source.
