Admissions Representative

The Admissions Representative’s primary responsibility is to support the administrative flow of the Admissions Department at Pinchot University contributing to the successful recruitment of Pinchot students. This person will be primarily responsible for providing front line customer service to prospective students and handling office administration and application processing for the admissions department.  


Customer Service and Outreach: As a potential point of first contact, professionalism, poise, and kindness are critical to success in this role. Answers admissions department telephone, answering general student questions and inquiries. Promptly captures and reports new student information to admissions team. Assist in the recruitment of new students by performing outgoing calls to prospective students, as directed, to invite students to events, schedule appointments, follow up on missing items for applications, and otherwise promote interest and action within our interest pool.

Admissions File Coordination: Handles application paperwork and processing of admissions files. Enters inquiry and application data into SalesForce. Tracks incoming application items and keeps database accurately updated.

Office Administration: Organizes and establishes systems for office work flow and functionality. Proactively manages office administrative tasks, such as creating marketing packets, filing, mailings, ordering supplies, etc.

Admissions Events:  As needed, supports Admissions Department with on and off campus admissions related events, i.e. Open Houses, Sustainable Saturdays, Evening MBA Visits. Helps coordinate event details, set up, and prepare related materials. Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends required.

Marketing: Research new means and markets for referral sources in an increasingly competitive MBA landscape. Assists marketing and communications team with needs related to events, website, copy writing and online calendars.

Other: Performs other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrates positive and clear communication skills
  • Provides superior customer service and follow up with prospective student questions and requests
  • Can juggle multiple competing projects and responsibilities
  • Strong people skills with a high level of comfort in persuading and talking to new people.
  • Superior organization skills and ability to manage ongoing administrative tasks with attention the detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Persistence combined with a positive attitude and approach to work and others – self motivating work style.
  • Proficient with Google Apps and Microsoft Office Suite. Sales Force experience a plus
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in higher education and/or sustainable business strongly preferred.
  • One to two years professional work experience. Work within education and/or customer service focus a plus.

Educational Requirements:     Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience required. Master’s degree a plus.
